Hiking

We took Tyler's family up to Comb Ridge where there are a ton of Anasazi ruins. It was a fun hike, but a little too much for the little girls. We were hiking up and down steep cliffs with no trails...when will we ever learn?
These are some dinasour tracks, it's a little hard to see in the picture, but there are two tracks one right in fron of the other. Starting at the bottom left and the second at the upper center. There are three toes. Cool stuff.

Easter

We had a great Easter. That tricky bunny hid the baskets in the chandelier this year. We went on a family picnic on Saturday and Grandpa Jack helped Bria find the eggs. I loved having Conference intertwined with the Holiday. What great messages! I'm listening to them again. You can download them from LDS.org onto your MP3 player right now. Such a great system. These funny girls

I sure love these girls. Cloe is showing her personality more and more every day. She loves to be loved:). Allie and Bria have been on this "make-over" kick, (Thanks to my neice; Gabby, for introducing that to them) Allie got some play make-up and she loves to "get ready for the day". I know it's only the beginning of what's to come...*sigh*

I've been thinking-

I know I'm a bit on the extreme side....but seriously, I think books need ratings. I love to read. I love going to the library, picking up a book, and after carefully reading the back; taking it home to enjoy a little down time. The thing is, I have become super-cautious about the whole process- because you really don't know what you are getting until you start reading. The whole "don't judge a book by it's cover" is for real. I feel like I have to limit myself to books that have been read by someone I trust, or sticking to christian authors. I just wish there was a better system to provide us a little more insight as to what we are getting, just like movies. Anyways, those are just some thoughts, anybody agree with me and my super "molly" ways:)?

Birthday Food FUN!

Allie and I celebrated our Birthdays together, since the Funeral for Tyler's Mom was on my Brithday. We spent the day making fun treats like these. Cupcake Pops- they are so yummy and so cute. They are a little piece of heaven on a stick. I changed the recipe a little bit and used real cream-cheese and some Chocolate frosting instead of the cream cheese frosting in a can. Just a personal preference thing. I got the idea from Bakerella.blogspt.com I love that web-site. We also made a Rice Krispy Treat cake-because I love a good Rice krispy treat. That was all my idea...And the drizzled chocolate...yea, that was me too:)

Twin Rocks

We ended our day in Bluff by eating at Twin Rocks. It's called Twin Rocks because of the crazy rock formation just above it. It's a great little place, with really good food. It was taking a while for the food to come, so Allie started eating the sugar packets....yea, I just took a picture rather than stopping her. They have something called the "Navajo Burger" Instead of a bun, they use fry bread...really good fry bread. It's a pretty awesome sandwich. The girls were so tired, but the trip was just what we needed:)

Bluff Fort

This little corner of the country is so surprising. Ancient engravings in the sides of cliffs, pepper the whole county. Some date back 300-3,000 years ago. The Mormon pioneers that settled this area were amazing! This is really rugged country, and I don't know how they got wagons across. This is the first settlement with some of the original cabins and buildings. Very cool. Gerald N. Lund's new book "The Undaunted" is about these pioneers. Tyler and I are just finishing it. It was fun to be in the same places these people were.

More Sand Island

Sand Island

We took a little trip to Bluff for a taste of Spring. One of the great things about living in southern UT, is that if you don't like the weather where you are, you can drive a few miles and have a completely different climate. Bluff is known for the "hole in the rock" Pioneers. We started the day off at Sand Island. It seriously was a beautiful day. I even got a sun burn! The girls loved the freedom of being outside and doing whatever they wanted. I loved to watch them.

Tea Party

All the girls got together for a "Tea Party". It was a nice thing for the little girls to have something fun to do after the emotional week we had. My sister-in-law is well known for her parties and she did such a good job. The girls were so cute.

Forever

We have had a difficult week. Last Wednesday Tyler's Mom passed away quite unexpectedly. After recovering from the initial shock of the news, we had to cope with the feelings of loss. She was an amazing person, and we are so grateful to have had the last few months with her. We are so grateful we moved to Monticello to be closer to Tyler's family, even though we had no idea our time would be so short with his Mom, it has been worth every second. We are so grateful for our testimonies of "Forever". We know we will see her again and we know that she is reunited with loved ones. She will be missed more than I can say, thank goodness for the blessings of the Temple. I took this picture as I thought of her. Hope penetrating the dark clouds. That's how we feel right now.
