Happy Birthday Bria!

Bria is our Valentine baby, and she just turned 2 years old! I was pregnant with Cloe when Bria was just 6-7 months old, so the last couple of years are a little bit of a blur to me. She was a dream baby...seriously. Now that she is a toddler and talking, she is a little more of a struggle. She is very determined. But she is always the first one to give loves, and she is the biggest, silliest, teaser and loves to make people laugh.

Both Allie and Bria LOVE Cloe, but they are becoming good friends with eachother. Even good friends have the occasional fight:) OK, they fight alot, but I hope and pray it's just the stage of life. They really do get along sometimes:)

12 Days of Valentines

For the last four years now, I've done the 12 days of Valentine's for Tyler. I have to say that it is one of my favorite traditions. I just do a little something every day that I know will be special for him. Things like; making one of his favorite desserts, writing a list of reasons why I love him A-Z, little gifts...etc. What a great way to show the best husband in the world how much I appreciate him!

80's Party

Too fun! Some friends got together and had an 80's themed dance party. It was great! Don't my leggings totally rock!?

I don't think we're in Nevada anymore...

As you can see, we've gotten a little snow. I know we will be grateful for it this spring and summer, but I have to admit, Winter is not my favorite time of year:)

SLC

We went to SLC to visit Tyler's mom in the hospital after her surgery and got to spend time with cousins from both sides of the family. We ate at Chuck-e-cheese with Tyler's brother's family, and stayed at my sister Tye's house. My brother in law got these hats for the girls while he was away on a business trip, very cute.

Sure going to miss this

This was a party with my primary girls. This is a picture of some of them. I loved being the 11 year old girls primary teacher. I recently recieved a new calling in Relief Society as the secretary. It's going to be a difficult transition for me, but the work most roll forth:) Wish me luck!

Family movie night

Our Christmas break was full of these. Cloe looks a little drunk...

Two peas in a pod

Cloe and Grandma Jack are the funniest pair. They just melt into eachother and neither of them want to move from that position. We are so grateful for the chance our girls have to spend time with family.

Silly Breakfast

The girls were being so funny at breakfast this morning-I love mornings like this. Waking up slow, everybody jumping in bed with us and then a waffle and bacon breakfast to start off the day...life is good. Wish every day was like this.

Christmas

Christmas Eve, the girls set out a treat for Santa-the orange was so he would have something "healthy".
We spent Christmas Eve day cooking, cleaning and just having fun together. That night we did the "Miller" spread with all the yummy appetizers. We watched Peter Pan and then looked for Rudolph in the sky. After our usually routine of reading, praying, and piggy back rides, the girls went to bed so good. Tyler and I played Santa and tried to watch a movie, but went to bed after 30 min. into it. We are getting old. The best part of Christmas was seeing the girls find the Barbies! Allie has been wanting a Barbie so bad this last year, and we held off until now. We found an awesome yard sale where we bought a house, several cars, clothes, 30 Barbies (like new), and all the accessories a girl could ever want or need. All for under $10. We cleaned everything up and it turned out great! Anybody who knows me knows how cheap I am, so this was an awesome find. We spent Christmas day with Tyler's family and enjoyed every minute of it. What a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Cookie swap

I love this idea! Last night I went to a cookie swap where everyone brings 5 dozen of the same treat, and than you swap so that you go home with 5 dozen different varieties. That makes putting treat plates together so dang easy. All the women brought there best stuff, and they were all from trusted kitchens (very important):). This is old news to some of you, but I am sure a fan now.

The hunt for the tree

We looked and looked, and it was freezing! But here are the results. Sure love Christmas! You can't beat the smell of pine!

Fed for the year

We had the wonderful opportunity to have Sister Julie Beck our General Relief Society President come to speak to us on Saturday. It was incredible. I like to say that I'mthe best friend she doesn't know she has. I love how blunt she is. She said some things I will never forget, one of them being.

In a world where most people think everyone owes them something, let me tell you...Nobody owes you anything, but you owe the Lord everything. You signed up for this, you said you could do this, and you can do this. You must do it.

It was just one of the powerful lessons I learned from her. I have set some new goals for myself to change for the better and to not let myself become complacent. It is far too easy to think that we are doing "good enough", I want to be better.
