Colorado Springs Zoo

 

 

 

We went to a Jack Family Reunion in Colorado Springs this last week and had a great time!  Unfortunately I left my battery to my camera at home and only had my I-Pod to take a few pictures.  These were a few I got at the zoo.  It was THE best zoo I have ever been to and the girls had a blast running through the spraying hose and watching the monkeys jump and play...and poop...haha.  A giraffe ate the flower out of Allie's hair!  I am sure it was pretty funny to watch me scramble to get the thing out of it's mouth.  I was afraid the sharp point on the clip would hurt it.  I was successful in getting it back, but it went into the garbage after that:)

Our little "Miss Hollywood" turned three yesterday.  This girl is so funny.  She wears sunglasses everywhere.  When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said "pink".  Well...that's what she got-everything pink.  Her sister's insisted on a pinata, but where we live-there is not really a huge supply of ready made pinatas:)  So we made one...and it was sort of half-a-days-work-disaster...but it was pink...and kind of a flower...and oh what the heck, at least I tried.  Sure love my Cloe and sure hoping we are out of the tantruming twos!:)

It was Tyler's 32nd B-Day and we decided to celebrate it at Lagoon!  We must be feeling OLD and so we decided to do something YOUNG:) Haha. We had so much fun with my parents and my youngest brother.  The girls loved almost all of it...the "creepy house" didn't go over very well with Cloe, but other than that it was great.  Allie went on ALL of the scary rides, even the ones I was too chicken for:)  The older I get, the more motion sick I get!  The spinning stuff is just too much for me.  We also hit Tucanos and The Old Spaghetti Factory while we were in the big city. Mmmmmm!  Can't go wrong with those two choices.

We all had to say our goodbyes to my sister before she moved from Salt Lake to Cleveland!  Sure gonna' miss having her so close, but so happy for the exciting changes in her life!  Love ya' Tye

New Blog

Hey everyone who is interested.  I have a new blog mandyjackphotography.blogspot.com  Photography is a newish hobby for me.  I have had some great opportunities to expand the talent and hope to get better and better at it.  In the past I have done it for free, but as I have gotten busier I now charge $30 which includes me taking the pictures, and giving you an edited CD of the favs to do as you wish with them.  I wanted to give people an affordable option for great pictures.  Check it out!

lovin' lemonade

 

I really wanted to get some yard work done on Saturday-so my brilliant plan was to have the girls do a lemonade stand to keep them busy.  We went through TWO gallons of lemonade and SIX dozen cookies.  I have never seen so many people stop for a little lemonade stand!  This town is awesome!  My yard work didn't get done, but the girls were so happy to put more money in their "Africa" / "Disneyworld" fund. 

Circus

 

 

The circus came to town!  The girls had fun...but it smelled like we were sitting in a dumpster!  I had a hard time getting past that.  It's pretty awesome that they came to Monitcello.  It was a big show for such a little place.  Allie and Bria loved riding the elephant.  How many opportunities does a person get to do that?
